HG Group Partners with Pakistan to Revolutionize Gem and Jewelry Sector

ISLAMABAD, Feb. 25 (Gwadar Pro) - The Huarui Guoxing Cultural Group (HG), a Hong Kong, China-based entity, has formed a strategic partnership with Pakistani institutions to revolutionize and transform the country’s gem and jewelry industry. The collaboration aims to empower local gemologists and artisans with advanced skills, ensuring Pakistan’s competitive position in the global luxury market.

In this regard, a high-level delegation from HG Group, led by Vice President Wang Xiaofeng and Group Vice President Ms. Li Weishu, met with officials from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Gems and Gemological Institute of Pakistan (GGIP), Peshawar, in Islamabad on Monday.

According to an official statement, “HG Group, a multinational investment company engaged in international trade, e-commerce, training, and investment, has agreed to collaborate with GGIP to modernize gemological training in Pakistan.”

GGIP, an Export Development Fund (EDF) project under the Ministry of Commerce and supervised by TDAP, is also in discussions with various international institutions to acquire state-of-the-art equipment to establish an internationally recognized National Gemstone Laboratory. The facility will offer advanced gemstone cutting and polishing services, enhancing the value and marketability of Pakistan’s precious stones.

The metals and gems sector is one of Pakistan's most vital industries. According to TDAP statistics, the country’s exports in December 2024 stood at $113.3 million, while total exports from July to December of the fiscal year 2024-25 reached $612.5 million.
