Xinjiang donates relief supplies to Gilgit-Baltistan
URUMCHI, September 9 (China Economic Net) – The government of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, China recently donated a patch of relief supplies worth ¥1 million to Gilgit-Baltistan for tackling the flood.
The relief supplies include quilt with cotton wadding, cotton-padded clothes, tents and others.
A handover ceremony was held at the Khunjerab pass on September 7, 2022.
These relief supplies would be sent to Gilgit-Baltistan by Khunjerab pass.
Gilgit-Baltistan has been severely affected by rains and floods, according to a Gilgit-Baltistan government report issued in August.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced Rs 3 billion for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the flood-affected areas of Gilgit Baltistan when visiting the flood-affected areas of Gilgit Baltistan.
