China delivering flood relief goods to Pakistan through Khunjerab

BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Gwadar Pro) - The first batch of flood relief goods was delivered to Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) by road through the Khunjrab pass on Wednesday.

"Chinese flood relief support for Pakistan continues. The first batch of relief goods through Khunjerab was delivered to GB today. I would like to thank the leadership of Xinjiang for this generous and timely support," Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque tweeted.

Earlier the Pakistani ambassador also appreciated the efforts  by China to help Pakistan in flood relief activities and appealed to China to help Pakistan in this difficult time.

"The unprecedented floods have wreaked havoc with heavy casualties and property losses in Pakistan. There is a dire need of support from our Chinese brothers and sisters to help rebuild and rehabilitate the flood-affected victims," he added.

It is to be noted when the Pakistani Embassy in China opened a flood relief account, RMB one million  was collected within a few hours.
