TikTok becomes official sponsor of HBL PSL-7’s Anthem
ISLAMABAD, Jan 23 (Gwadar Pro)- TikTok, a Chinese short-form video platform, on Sunday announced sponsoring the official anthem of the HBL Pakistan Super League 7, which will begin at the National Stadium Karachi on January 27. This season’s anthem will be sung by Atif Aslam and Aima Baig and produced by Abdullah Siddiqui.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), TikTok will add to the “flavour and excitement” around the upcoming season of HBL PSL by bringing its most-awaited anthem to the fans.
On Sunday, TikTok was the first digital platform where HBL PSL officially launched the teaser of the anthem. It teaser will be followed the anthem.
“The powerful duo of Atif Aslam and Aima Baig coupled with the gifted Abdullah Siddiqui and TikTok as the driving force behind the anthem is sure to instill a sense of celebration, joy, entertainment, and passion among cricket fans in Pakistan,” according to PCB statement. It further reads that the sponsorship would further cement TikTok's position as one of the world’s most loved entertainment platforms.
Salman Naseer, COO PCB said that the HBL Pakistan Super League anthems have a fan base of their own and each season they have produced quality anthems that have ignited passion and excitement both in Pakistan and around the world. “We want to thank TikTok for coming onboard with us as the anthem partner, the TikTok platform is synonymous with entertainment and I am confident this anthem will help generate great excitement on the platform. In recent days, we have made two strategic partnerships with TikTok and I am confident that these two partnerships will provide Pakistan cricket and entertainment fans some world-class content,” he added.
Paul Katrib, head of brand marketing TikTok said that it brought them real excitement to sponsor the official anthem of HBL PSL this season. “TikTok is fast becoming the home of cricket fandom in Pakistan. We know what cricket means to our Pakistani community and want to bring them closer to their favourite sporting event of the year,” he added.
“This sponsorship is another major step in that direction. The TikTok community in Pakistan is very talented and we are excited to see the content they will be coming up with using the anthem and our official hashtag for the campaign #KhelegaPakistan,” Mr. Katrib added.
